Setting a New Home Page in Google Chrome

In Google Chrome, the startup page and the home page are different but can be configured to go to the same web page. The startup page is the web page that appears when you first launch Chrome. The home page is the web page that displays when you click the [Home] button.

Follow the steps below to add the [Home] button to the toolbar and set up a home page.

1. Click the Chrome menu in the top-right corner of your window.
2. Select "Settings".
3. Under "Appearance", check the box [Show Home] button.
4. Below the [Show Home] button, click the link "Change" to choose your homepage.
5. The [Home] button will appear to the left of your address bar.

Setting a Startup Page in Google Chrome

1. In the top-right corner of your window, click the Chrome menu.
2. Select Settings. (If you're using a Chromebook, click "Show Advanced Settings" at the bottom of the page.)
3. Under "On Startup," click "Open a Specific Page" or "Set of Pages."
4. Click the link "Set Pages".
5. Enter the web address of the web page you want to see when you open Google Chrome.
6. Click [OK].
